MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THIS IS A MAINSTEM MERRIMACK RIVER STATION AT THE SEWALLS FALLS RECREATION ACREA OFF SEWALLS FALLS ROAD. THE SITE IS LOCATED IN SIGHT OF THE SEWALLS FALLS ROAD BRIDGE AND IS ACCESSED FROM RIVER RIGHT. THE SIGHT IS DOMINATED BY LARGE RIFFLES, BOULDERS, COBBLE, GRAVEL, AND SHIFTING SAND DEPOSITS ALONG THE RIVER BED. THERE ARE DEEP POOLS AND STEEP BANKS ALONG RIVER RIGHT AND LEFT. OTHER THAN THE RECREATION AREA, THERE IS LITTLE DEVELOPMENT VISIBLE ALONG THIS CORRIDOR.
