MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | This site is located on an unnamed tributary of Baechtel Creek where it enters Tribal land. Bay, madrone, fir, and blackberry are the primary riparian vegetation beneath a slope populated in conifers. The the stream bed consists of small rocks, gravel, sand, and silt. The surrounding land use patterns consist of undeveloped forest with cattle ranching on the neighboring parcel. There was a break in the fence as it crossed the stream. This could be a potential access point for the trespassing cattle although the stream itself does not provide a convenient crossing with a large fallen log across it, suspended above the water level. There are no hydrological modifications. |
