MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | This site is located on Dead Cow Creek just downstream from where a tributary enters the main creek. The tributary originates in a neighbor's cattle pasture. Small oaks are the primary riparian vegetation with some willow, manzanita, grass, soap root and poison oak. The stream bed consists of large and small rocks. The surrounding land use patterns consist of cattle grazing and undeveloped land upon which elk, deer, and wild boar graze. There are no hydrological modifications. There is major streambed erosion just downstream from this site. |
