A FRINGE OF CORAL REEFS SPANS MOST OF THE SHORELINE IN THE BAY. THE STATION IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 1.5 MILES FROM THE CLOSEST SHORELINE, FRONTING THE NIU VALLEY AREA. WATER COLUMN SAMPLING IS PERFORMED MONTHLY AT THE SURFACE, MIDDLE, AND BOTTOM DEPTHS. THE WATER IS ANALYZED FOR PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PARAMETERS.
