THE SITE IS A MIDCHANNEL LOCATION IN THE LEWIS AND CLARK RIVER BETWEEN THE UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM BOUNDARIES OF THE FORT CLATSOP NATIONAL MEMORIAL. SAMPLES FOR INDICATOR BACTERIA WERE TAKEN JUST BELOW THE SURFACE TO EVALUATE THE POTENTIAL EXPOSURE OF RECREATIONISTS TO HUMAN PATHOGENS. TETRA TECH PERFORMED THE SURVEY UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE NPS.
