A CREEK BEGINS IN WETLANDS WITHIN THE MEMORIAL; FLOWS SOUTHEAST; SUBMERSES IN SEDIMENTS AND THEN SURFACES AS HISTORIC SPRING. IT THEN FLOWS SOUTHEAST TO LEWIS AND CLARK RIVER. LOWER REACHES ARE PROTECTED FROM TIDES BY AN OLD LEVEE. THE DATA ARE FROM THE MAY 1998 REPORT "BASELINE WATER QUALITY INVENTORYFORT CLATSOP NATIONAL MEMORIAL;" BY G.L. LARSON AND D.A.
